Best decision I have made this year. Strawberries galore. Able to take advantage of sales at the supermarket. As a senior citizen this makes my trips to the supermarket count. I hate shopping but love bargains. Now I stock up and don't have to go as often. Wish I'd done this sooner. Never to old to learn.

We received this freezer 2 weeks ago. So far so good. It runs quietly. It is in the garage & you do not hear when the motor turns on. Not all chest freezers come with wheels or rollers. We did a lot of searching to find this one. It moves easily, when needed.

Several weeks ago my mom purchased this Amana 7.0 cubic ft. freezer for me so I could have an overflow freezer for my deck and flowerbed garden. My my refrigerator/freezer was so packed full of frozen garden veggies that it was like opening Fibber McGee's closet. Open the door and you were in danger of having everything fall out. It was to the pont that I was either going to have to start giving away produce, which I did for a time, or get a freezer to store what was needed for the winter.
I had only a small space so I could not get a large freezer. I went to our local dealer and found this Amana. I went home and checked the reviews. They were 4 1/2 to 5 stars depending on the site. It also had features I liked. It had a movable basket, a shelf, and lots of space I could reach easily. It has a one year warranty and it was easily installed. The next day I loaded the freezer with meat and veggies from the refrigerator freezer (side by side) and now I have plenty of space in both for more fall garden produce and meat specials.
This freezer is extra quiet while running. You can barely hear a hum. It looks beuatiful in the kitchen and actually made the kitchen look better, if possible, a little longer and larger. One of best features in that it is an energy saver over the older deep freeze models and should cost me very little to run.
If it does not give me any problems in the future this is a GREAT buy and a Great addition to freezer space. Thanks Amana!

We bought this because the refrigerator freezers were always packed full. It is the perfect size to hold the extras like fish and wild game and open up the other freezer spaces!

We've only had it for a few weeks but, so far, so good. We set it at the recommended temperature and according to our freezer thermometer, it is right on the money. Compressor light comes on and off, indicating that it is doing what it should.

I have had the 7 cubic foot Amana freezer for only 2 weeks. So far, it's working like a charm and is 3/4 full. It's quiet, freezes quickly, and absolutely no complaints. It's a winner in my book.

We just bought this freezer because we were given a quarter of beef. I really wanted a small upright style but dealers in our area do not carry them on a regular basis. They are available only in random shipments.

After years of neglecting huge sales on frozen foods because of limited freezer space in our fridge. We finally broke down and bought this Amana 7.0 cu. ft. Compact Chest Freezer. It's affordable, portable, and doesn't take up much space.

I bought this small freezer to handle the overflow from my refrigerator. It does a very good job of cooling. It has some problems. It is a little noisy. It doesn't have leveling legs, you have to shim it. The door seal is not the best. Frost build up is a problem.

7 Cu Ft Chest Freezer

We bought this 7 cu ft chest freezer to store meats when it goes on sale. This freezer has plenty of room for a family of 2, the compressor runs quiet and has held temps down to -10 degrees on setting number 4 on the thermostat. We bought two milk crates at the local Home Depot which is also who we bought this Amana freezer from to help organize it. The milk crates have openings in bottom and sides allowing the cold air for circulate. We have our own vacuum sealer so we vacuum seal all the meat we purchase for storage to keep the meat from getting freezer burn.
Over all I recommend this freezer for the performance it has given us, long term durability will have to wait and see but if the long term durability is like its performance I expect to have this freezer for many years.

I purchased my 7 cubic foot chest freezer about 6 wks ago, and I love it so far. I love the outside indicator lights for the compressor and the unit itself running. The freezer came very well packaged in the box, no damage, and that is a huge plus to me. The only thing I would add to this chest freezer, an interior light.

Actually I am a repeat customer... I purchased this freezer for my daughter when she started teaching and I purchased a second freezer for my Son after he graduated from college and found a place to live. Perfect size.... haven't had any problems with. Best part is because of it's size it was pretty easy to get them down into the basement!
