I have been using glass top for years. It began with the Corning Countertop that cooks. This range is so much faster coming to a boil so fast and changing to lower temps just as fast. It is so easy to clean and maintain with the oven cleaning feature. Don't want to live without it now.

Have had a chance to use this range extensively over the last week. I'm pretty impressed. Both ovens are spacious and well designed (just make sure you get that little black zip tie off the bottom rack...just saying). I bought new KitchenAid cookware as my old stuff was all aluminum. I like the induction, and how the heat just STOPS when you turn off the switch. Boiling water stops boiling. Sizzling butter stops sizzling. Every bit as good as gas in this regard, without the constant threat of your house exploding. I am very satisfied and highly recommend.

I bought this range about a month ago and, with a few reservations, it was an excellent choice. In my new house, when the old range gave up the ghost, my first choice (gas) was not an option. The old range was a double oven with a ceramic cooktop. As much as I love cooking, I hated it. When I was shopping for a new one, the salesman convinced me I'd love induction. I do love the double oven, a feature I also loved on my old range. This range also has some interesting features: slow cook, convection bake, steam bake. However, although induction has advantages (heats up fast, good heat control), it also has disadvantages: it needs to be meticulously and carefully cleaned after each use, once a burner is used and turned off, it takes quite a long time before it cools enough to use it again, the footprint of the burners is somewhat limiting, nothing can be placed on the cooktop other than when using a burner, beloved old cookware will not work on induction cooktop, the fan stays on forever to protect the delicate electronics, etc. All this will take some getting used to.

Have baked bread with the steam feature and am very happy with the results. Also get a steam facial at the same time. Stovetop heats quickly as promised. Takes a bit to learn everything and still not sure how to manage the control lock as if anything (even a fluid drop) hits the power button it shuts off. Only complaint is I wish there was better instructions on using all the features. Happy I purchased and looking forward to bread baking this winter.

I have had this range for almost a month and am still getting used to all its features and induction cooking in general, but love how fast it heats, and how quickly it responds when l increase/decrease the heat - all while not heating up the kitchen ! I do wish the minimum and maximum pot-sixes weren't marked with dots b/c they look like I've not wiped the surface well. Also, the rack of the top oven is too low when in the lower position which makes it hard to get a grip on a tray of cookies without burning my knuckles - i work-around by putting an upside-down cookie sheet under the one l am cooking on so there's room to get my hand and a hotpad under to pull the cookies out - all in all, no big deal as nothing is perfect, and the good far outweighs these slight issues

Induction Learning Curve

This arrived damage (the cooktop was very unlevel to the point where a marble would roll from one corner to the other) and was backordered, so I ended up replacing with the standard electric version. I had this induction version for just three weeks, so read with caution. I LOVE how fast the burners would get hot. They outpaced me as I prepared whatever I was cooking. One of the burners didn't get hot on the entire circle and would lead to cold spots on the pan. This was just on the edge of one of the burners. When the maintenance man came, the soft white foam under the burner kept getting crumbled from him lifting and lowering the stovetop so many times (not his fault). This would've really bothered me if I were keeping the oven. The oven worked fine, although the top oven does take a little longer to preheat it seemed. I am sure I would've liked this range if mine wasn't defective. Do I think induction is worth the extra $600? Debatable.. If you cook a lot, perhaps! I also don't like how the vent at the front of the stove top has unfinished edges, pieces of papertowel or normal towel get stuck on the raw edges when I wipe it clean. The fan would run for a VERY long time after baking. My new oven doesn't do that.

We made the right choice! It cooks so fast and so evenly both on the induction top and in the ovens. My favorite feature is the top oven, I feel like I'm not wasting energy roasting in a regular sized oven. A very close second is the induction top. Easy to use, easy to keep clean, and the fact that it only heats the pan and not my whole kitchen is a plus as well. The cooling fan noise doesn't bother me at all! Looks great too!

We traded a professional gas range for induction

We had 3 professional level very expensive gas ranges. When we sold our home and bought a spec home, we decided on induction. For several reasons. The first being the safety of our grand children who are young and our grandson likes to play with the knobs on our professional gas range. Electric was out of the question because of the risk of children touching the heating element so we chose the KitchenAid duel oven induction range. We are so glad we did. You can boil a pot of water in under 2 minutes and the duel oven is great on holidays or when we are entertaining guests in summer. It took a little getting use to but now that I am I can't imagine going to conventional gas cooking. With induction there is no burned in food. I just take a damp cloth and wipe the cooking surface clean. It takes special cookware for induction cooking. Thankfully, I have s lot of cast iron and LeCruset pieces and KitchenAid sent us cookware when we purchased our range. Additionally, Amazon has a great collection of inexpensive non stick cookware at reasonable pricing. We love the professional design, the double ovens, the ease of cooking and the quick clean up of our KitchenAid induction range and we wouldn't trade it for a $10,000 professional gas range.

Replacing electric range

We bought this for our condo where my son lives. (He is 25 years old). He grew up with gas and the condo had an electric range. Reviews said it was better than gas. Love Induction

We love this range. The induction cook top allows such great control for heating the foods you are cooking. The time to bring something to a boil is very quick, and then controlling a gentle boil is very easy with induction heating method. The top surface is extremely easy to keep clean. The burner surface does not get hot so no cooked on/burnt stains on the surface. Awesome product

System failure after 3 weeks

Received error message. Reset did not work. Electric Express made service call found failed parts. New parts ordered. Range will be out of service 3-4 weeks by time repairs made.

Great, but early failures

I bought this 4 months ago and it's dead. :-( It boiled water great, I loved how it baked. The only two things I didn't like about it was how it beeps whenever you put anything near the cooktop controls and how long the cooling fan runs after I bake (I mean, it runs for hours) My biggest complaint is a few days back the cooktop died. I called service and got a repair person out right away. Unfortunately it's an "electronics failure" which requires him to order a new part and then he will come back...in 8 days. So, 8 days with no cooktop and essentially no oven (every few minutes the error code takes over the display and you can't really use the oven that way). I have 4 kids home for summer vacation, I can't afford to eat out every meal since dropping $3000+ on a new stove.

One continuing problem

Cooking at the beach 5/21/2019

I bought this induction double oven range and generally like it, but once in a while the control lock will randomly come on while I am in the middle of cooking on the cooktop. I can not get it to go off and have had to go to the electric panel and flip the breaker off to get it to reset. This is very annoying for such an upscale appliance as this. My very knowledgeable repairman has tried to fix this three times and it still continues to happen. I wish it did not even have this feature. Has anyone else had this problem? I am so glad I got the extended warranty and may have to demand a new appliance. I do love the way it cooks when the control lock stays off.

Our induction double oven convection range was delivered about a month ago. We have tried almost every feature and they all work flawlessly. Induction cooking is amazing - the speed of gas without any of gas's risk of fire or explosion. The convection oven cuts baking time and bakes more evenly - and the extra oven is a godsend when we have company and need to bake a couple of casseroles at 350 and rolls or garlic bread at 450. The very minor inconvenience of no bottom drawer for storage (we keep what was in our old stove in an adjacent cabinet) is more than offset by the additional oven space.

Great induction range

This is our second induction range, and our first from KitchenAid. After our Kenmore died after nine year, we definitely wanted another induction cooktop, but not from Kenmore. After reading the reviews on the KitchenAid we decided to go with this one. We couldn't be happier. The controls are easy to use and very responsive, as expected with induction cooking. The double ovens are a great feature. Overall, it is a beautiful addition to our kitchen.

Great stove

I did not know what induction cooking was.......none of my pans worked on this stove when I bought it. But wait! There's more!!! I now have the Kitchenaid 10 piece set of pans and they work perfectly and induction cooking is not only better than gas, it's just pure genius and this stove is what makes it so! I've used induction hotplates for years and have wanted and induction range ever since. This range performs much better than my expectations. Cooktop temp control is intuitive and accurate. Induction capable cookware heats rapidly and maintains perfect temperature. The ovens are intuitive to operate and maintain steady temperature. The accompanying user manual is easy to follow and provides clear and accurate instructions.

We have had this stove since 2014, we started having problems within the first two months, every knob and burners have been replaced at least once. We have a lemon and to our surprise Kitchensid has done nothing to help other than suggesting we keep paying a high maintenance contract. Not a good business.
