FOLLOW UP Fan / exhaust not working

As previously review posted.......HOT HANDLE and exhaust not working. After removing unit from wall vent holes snapped out, plate on top blocking UP exhaust and motor position correct. Yet it will not exhaust out thru wall duct. Dampers move freely and it blows out the wall like crazy. To their credit Kitchenaid / whirlpool paid me for cost + tax of unit, now waiting for pick up.

This microwave has been installed since March/April time frame and works as a simple microwave or more advanced cooking with the convection options. The exhaust fan works well and is a but noisy on the highest speed but does an excellent job. When cooking meals for family or guest the fan does not effect the conversation. This microwave in the black stainless really looks great. Performance is excellent also with its built in convection oven. My only small complaint would be the feature to add 1 minute of cook time. I wish this was 30 seconds like some of the less costly models. One minute is most often too long for reheating foods.

I bought this microwave a month ago I will now replace all appliances with kitchen aid. There features for this microwave were way more then I ever expected. I cooked frozen pizza in microwave and used the conventional oven and it came out amazing and was the first feature I tried out. Start button adds 1 minute of time for each time you press it. My only downfall of this microwave is the sound of the beep or timer gives off very low sound idk if there's a way to turn it up.

My old microwave did a poor job of venting and whenever I would cook bacon the house would fill up with smoke. This last weekend I cooked bacon and there was NO smoke in the house. I was so excited. I have not used the convection feature yet, but will try it soon.

Dual Personality Appliance - Microwave & Oven

We chose the KitchenAid line of appliances based on our research (i.e., customer reviews, product features, price, etc.). KitchenAid rose to the top and we're very glad that we decided to make the purchase. The Microwave/Convection Oven is not only very classy but is performing as stellar as we'd expected based on that research. It has great capacity and the sensor system is the best I've experienced!!
