The handles on the frig doors keep
Coming loose. The drawers feel cheap. Not a fan. Regret this purchase. Not near as nice as the prior Whirlpool frig I bought in 2007.

We purchased this refrigerator in 2019; it worked fine until it was conveniently out of warranty. The freezer started accumulating large amounts of ice and leaking water. The service situation via Maytag was a debacle (more on the service ordeal below) and it ultimately cost $235 to repair. The reason the freezer was accumulating ice and leaking water: chunks of Styrofoam from inside the refrigerator flaked off and fell inside the drain tube--clogging it. The repairman was at our residence for over 2hrs digging out the Styrofoam.

I went with a reliable company because of the quality of the products. It does a great job cleaning my dishes. But I can™™t put my chop plates in because they don™™t fit. I have 2 sets of dishes that are 12 inches, my every day and my good China are too big. I have bowls with rims that are 11 inches™¦don™™t fit. I wish I had known. I bought 10 inch plates for everyday. But when company comes I have to hand-wash. Thats when I need it the most!

It is impossible to clean the inside floor of the freezer in Model #MFF2558FEZ001, Serial #K90829281. Have tried to take all baskets and parts off but cannot figure out how to get the bar that holds the baskets and divider off.

the refrigerator has been working fine, makes a little noise when compressor running. Having trouble with the left door being able to shut. The center plate for the right door to register against does not swing to the right, it just hits the main fridge and keeps the left door open about 1 to 1-1/2 inches. If you don't notice the left door stays open the fridge runs all the time.
Have to open the right door and manually fold the center plate so the left door will close.
Main reason why only 4 stars not 5. Most likely will never buy a French door refrigerator again. Other that not being able to close the left door in a normal fashion, Maytag makes a dependable product.

Good refrigerator that cools well. Even when tightened handles on freezer remain somewhat loose. Clear plastic central drawer frequently falls of hinge when opened, Wire mechanism that controls ice-making does not work well and is irritating to adjust. These are chronic problems from day 1 of ownership. Wonder if these are chronic issues for all customers with this refrigerator.

The refrigerator is running good. Only issue is the left side door does not close on it's own. Need to open the right door and pull the center flap attached to left door into the guides so it can close. No issues with the freezer, has plenty of room, ice maker works great too.

The refrigerator works as advertised. The one complaint I have is that the compressor has been noticeably loud since day 1. It has always made a high-pitched whirring sound; much louder than my previous Maytag refrigerator where I could not hear the compressor running unless it was very quiet and I was close to it.

I™™ve had this fridge for 1 month. It™™s beautiful, sleek, quiet and efficient. I love the French door style. It™™s so convenient and easily organized. The freezer is surprisingly large and glides well. My issue is with the stainless material. It™™s so thin, a sign of the times for sure. In this case, less in not more. Dents and scratches are inevitable. It™™s not just this specific brand or model. I went to a big box store to analyze other makes and models and found all have become lightweight. The doors just have a hollow feel, even the handles. I am grateful that I was able to find this model, which matches my smooth top stove that I purchased last December. I have had great success with Maytag appliances for decades. I™™ve put all to the test through the years while raising 4 active kids! So many loads of laundry and what feels like a million meals! Thanks Maytag! Couldn™™t have done it without you!!

This refrig holds a lot. It looks nice in my kitchen. Temperatures are constant and reliable. I'm concerned that the gasket on the right-hand door has torn. So far it's not creating any problems, but the appliance is only 4 years old and gets gentle use.

We bought this in Aug. 2021 to replace an LG that conked out after only 3 years. We like the extra depth provided (didn't want the countertop depth) and like the ice-maker feature. Don't really need a water spout since we use a Brita pitcher. The only thing we notice is that the deli-drawer seems HUGE, while the fruit/veggie drawers are smaller than we are used to. Would like more space for storing vegetables in the humidity drawer. Smooth clean look in stainless steel with easy cleanup exterior. Ice-maker seems noisy when filling up.

We really like the ice cube maker. That was important to us.
There isn™™t enough space on the door shelves to put the taller items one stores in one™™s fridge.
For example: ketchup, milk, 2L container for ice tea, maple syrup, pop bottles, wine bottles, etc.
Yes, you can move the door shelves around but you can™™t create 4 shelves for tall items. Only the one bottom shelf on each door can be used for tall items.
The supports for the fridge shelves are poorly designed. Our old fridge had slides for the shelves. This has metal supports that take up so much room that you can™™t adjust the shelves enough. So there isn™™t enough room on the shelves for the tall items that won™™t fit on two of the door shelves.
We do feel that we can fit more bowls/ containers of leftovers, or food made for a dinner party, in this fridge, than in the previous fridge.
We like the pull out meat/cheese drawer on the bottom of the fridge.
The fridge keeps items nice and cold.

My husband and I ordered this refrigerator from a local appliance company in OH in Sept. 2020 and still have not received it because of continuous production disruptions at Maytag's Amana, IA plant. We knew that we might have to wait a few months for delivery but this is ridiculous. Does anyone at Maytag even care that we have put down money on this and not gotten it?

The refrigerator was great until I had problems with closing the door. Now I have to manually push the extended part on the left side before I can close the door. If you look on the outside it looks like the door is uneven. Also, the handles on the freezer are loose so it makes it harder to open. and close.

The refrigerator section is organized well for our needs. The number and arrangement of the shelves and drawers is perfect for us. Other than the ice machine water refill cycle being a bit noisy, we are happy with the freezer section. We suggest you consider splitting the top basket in the freezer so that either side could be removed to make it easier to reach items that fall behind the basket.

I bought this at June 2019 on the Costco.ca. After shipping and installing, the freezer part can't close completely right way, called the service number and they sent a technician to check it up, then he has to order some parts for the container of the freezer, waited a week later to have the parts to install again. there is always a big noise during the compressor working process. Not even two years until now, the compressor stopped working at all, I called the service number and wait more than an hour to have someone to answer, booking an appointment next Monday, I have to pay $399 prior tax for the labor if it is the compressor damage which included 10 year limited warranty by the industry. Bad experience for shopping Maytag even though I read a lot of reviews before purchasing.

This refrigerator came with a new home. The Stainless exterior is attractive and fits in well. The interior is very roomy, It is well lit and bright. surfaces are easy to clean. It is really easy to see what you have. Shelves are adjustable, also on doors. The drawers are a bit rattley (sound) but function well and hold a lot.

I think this refrigerator is around three years old the last few months it™™s been making a noise then it stopped getting cold in the fridge part the freezer continue to stay frozen. I had a service call and I am waiting on the repair man to come back he figured it could be a month before he gets back by the time the claim went through the warranty department ordered parts and booked me a new appointment. The problem was the fan that pushes the cold air from the freezer to the fridge had given out he was able to give it a spin by hand and get it going again but when he left he said I™™m not sure if it will stay going or not. Lucky we had another refrigerator in our basement and for now a week and a half in it still seems to be going but making noise hopefully he gets back with the new parts before it quits again. In saying that I™™m into the extended warranty which is not through Maytag so fault of their™s. I do recommend buying the extended warranty through the manufacture and not the aftermarket warranty at the store I find the manufacture easier to deal with for warranty claims. We™™re happy with the refrigerator when it™™s working and it looks good and to be completely honest I™™m not 100% sure that most of the other manufacturers are going to be any better there are a few higher end products if you™™re willing to pay a lot more money you could probably avoid some issues I suppose. I guess there™™s a line to cross whether you spend a lot more money or just replace it more often. For an hour fingers are crossed that the warranty guy comes back with the new part before it quits again.
There is always the possibility that I just got a unit with a bad fan I guess in a few years we™™ll see how the replacements going in I™™ll know by then.

My refrigerator makes quite a few noises on a regular basis. Sometimes it gets really loid. I just tell people it talks. Why in the world would you still make refrigerators without a water dispenser in 2018? I'm baffled, but I bought an attachment that connects on the side that dispenses water. One time the bottom freezer stopped working and everything looked like it melted, but froze again. If it happens again I will call got service. The bottom freezer concept has more space than I thought so I'm adjusting. Ice will hit the floor more often so be careful. Lastly, I'm pleased with refrigerator space. I took a shelf out so everything fits now. I would not recommend buying this model.
