Garbage, Don't buy!

very disappointed in PA 11/29/2019

This is an update to my negative review from 11 months ago and it's only gotten worse. The refrigerator was delivered with missing parts, but my local dealer made it right within a week. Since then I have had to get the ice maker replaced at 6 months and now, one year to the date of purchase, the hinge pin on the large crisper/deli drawer broke, on Thanksgiving, while I was trying to prepare a meal for guests. I can't even get my local dealer on the phone because it's Black Friday and they won't answer or return messages.

Seems to be a good product. Like the temperature readings on the door. Little louder than expected. Wish there were separate levers for the ice and water instead of the push buttons. The only real complaint was 2 of the 3 bolts for the bottom door hinge bracket seemed stripped on re-assembly (had to take the doors off to get it in our kitchen). I repaired it myself with heli-coil inserts.

We purchased this refrigerator because it's dimensions and features were the best fit for our kitchen. It was quite a bit more expensive than similar refrigerators that were just slightly larger or didn't have the feature configuration we wanted, so hoping that has to do with its quality! A bit surprising that it's not energy star compliant though.

I have had this model for about 2 months purchased in June 2019. Due to our space limitations of an older home, I only had a couple options and chose this Maytag over the Samsung. The unit looks good from the outside, however 1. There is a major design flaw in the ice dispenser - no matter the glass size or position you hold the glass, ice will shoot out all over your floor 2. I already required maintenance because the seal board for left panel became loose and the doors would not shut. This happened after ~2-3 weeks of use. 3. The drawers inside the refrigerator are cheaply made as they do not open or shut smoothly and as it requires a bit of wiggling / shifting to not stick out when closed. In summary, I would not recommend this model to anyone and will never purchase any Maytag appliance in the future.

I like this refrigerator but I did not give it a 5 because I think the meat compartment could be larger somewhat. Also had to call the company because the milk & other beverages were freezing in the Beverage Chiller compartment. They sent someone out and it was an easy fix - close the cold draft one notch that's inside to the right of the refrigerator that allows cold to go into the compartment. Was nothing about this in the initial book that comes with the appliance.

The fridge is working great ! The features we love are: The brightness inside the fridge and freezer The different zones to adjust the temperature The easy to see thru glass shelves, with some being adjustable The easy to change water filter The large multi-use fridge drawer The freezer drawers are very easy to slide on their own when shutting The feature that could use improvement: Have the water come out faster Have the ice not fall out after release A bigger opening at the ice/water dispenser, to put large glasses, would be nice Overall we are very pleased with our purchase and happy we switched from side-by-side to French door model.

Makes Tons of Ice!

My husband wanted a fridge that makes lots of ice and this one is it - don't think we will ever run out. A lot of space in the upper compartment is lost because of the ice maker and the left-hand door has but one shelf because of it, but otherwise, the unit will do nicely for the two of us. And he'll be a happy camper with his new ice maker!

I LOVE my Refrigerator

I am a paraplegic and love all of my ADA Maytag Appliances! I specifically purchased all of my new kitchen appliances and the easiest to use is the Fridge. As an ADA compliant appliance I was so pleased to finally be able to reach everything easily and love the pull our freezer drawer. I can reach to the back with ease and the filtered water and ice cubes are awesome. Used the humidity control during monsoon season and was amazed at the function results. My fruit and veggies stay fresh for weeks. What an awesome machine and quality of life improvement for me! Trying to reduce my energy was also a factor in buying my Maytag appliances as they will shutdown automatically and run very efficiently. My dream home complete!

I totally love this refrigerator!

We got this the week before Thanksgiving and had five family members come for the long weekend. Since we had to get the 33 wide to fit the space we have, I was worried about enough room for all the food and desserts. It is amazing how much room there is and it is so easy to find things. the freezer is spacious and it even kept up with our ice usage. The cold compartment keeps the milk perfect.

i bought this about a month ago and love how cold this fridge is. Especially the "extra" chiller for milk/soda. It keeps it just above freezing. I like the fact you can adjust all shelves in the fridge to accommodate the user. Only negative I can say but is understandable is the whole width pull out drawer for veggies/butter or whatever you have to have both doors open to get into it. But small draw back considering you have a water/ice dispenser on face of fridge without having to open it.

I am a vegan and I would love a fridge oriented for vegans, more space or drawers for veggies and fruits. I eat mostly fresh products and do not need such a big drawer for frozen foods, half the size would be enough. Also, the doors are a bit slow in closing, they should be closing automatically. I often have to push them otherwise it start rigging.

It is nice to have filtered water and ice in the door. I missed that. Nice and bright, love the 3 drawers in the fridge. The 4 solid bottom freezer bins are great. Makes it easy to store stuff and cleaning is much easier. Stuff stays contained in the drawers.

Great bottom freezer!

I bought this several months ago. My biggest complaint is the plastic they had over the whole machine with it stuck in between the doors and trim. The gentleman tore it all off and you have little stubs of plastic sticking out all over and can not even tear it off.
