We recently purchased this model to replace a 10-year-old refrigerator of the same model, which we loved. After living with this new one for a week, I cannot recommend it and wish we could return it. First, we had to wait 5 weeks for delivery, which was a substantial inconvenience. Second, the ice-maker motor on this model is FAR noisier than the older one. It runs frequently and is audible throughout the house. Third, I called Maytag customer service to inquire about the ice-maker noise. That was a waste of time. The rep evidently was used to such calls, as she did not even ask for the model or serial number but simply told me to "get used to it." Fourth, this model is even LESS energy-efficient than our 10-year-old model. How is that even possible???? Maytag used to be a good brand with a quality reputation, but those days appear to be long gone. We are sorely disappointed with this purchase and will not be buying any other Maytag appliances.

Functional, smaller for area that previous frig

Not many choices considering our open dimensions. This was chosen for icemaker and fingerprint resistant. There are less shelves and the icemaker takes up a lot of room. I give it an ok. The fruit / veggies seem very flimsy. I'm hoping they last with just the two of us. It should be fine for a couple however a family may want to consider a larger model. The freezer is organized very well and more spacious.

We bought this wanting a bottom freezer, ice and water on the outside and french doors. We have everything and more. I love the ability to organize in the freezer and I love the wide drawer that allows me to store puddings, cheeses and lunchmeats with easy access. We purchased this about a month ago and have been very pleased with the fridge. There's loads of fridge and freezer space. An awesome chiller for a cold brew, terrific meet tray and loads of space in the freezer. I would have give it a 5-star rating except for the Ice. It is only whole cubes no crushed ice and it tends to come out a little to the right not centre under the shoot. O big deal but it took a couple weeks to get used to it because occasionally it would miss a cube and it's be on the floor.

I bought this for my mother. She kept complaining shortly after that the fridge was rusting. I did not believe because I was trained to believe that stainless steel does not rust. Eventually I went to see for myself. I was completely shocked at what I saw. To add to this wonderful present, customer service informs me that rust is only covered for 12 months and I am a few months outside of warranty. I bought this refrigerator to replace a 20 year old Amana refrigerator. I was limited in space and really wanted a ice/water dispenser and stainless steel. The outside is very attractive, however, the space inside (I knew this ahead of time) is less than I had before. I didn't know that the water from the dispenser is only at room temperature (wish I knew before) and was told by Maytag that it cannot be adjusted and yes I know I can add ice. Speaking of the ice dispenser, a lot ice drops down quickly and tends to miss the glass so I use a small bowl to catch the flying ice (problem averted).

The refrigerator looks very nice. Coos well. I had a couple of issues with mine. 1. It is noisier than our last one. 2. The push lever for ice and water has a lip at top of paddle that deflects ice everywhere. Being very careful, ice still end up on floor. 3. The crisper draws are cheat and function poorly.

I've had the fridge just over 3 months. True to other reviews, the ice maker does tend to spit ice everywhere. It's a win when i don't have to chase a cube or two across rhe kitchen floor. Last week it started to make a clicking noise (on the weekend, of course) then one morning I woke to a puddle of water from the fridge. The freezer was no longer frozen, but the fridge seemed ok. Hubby called the repair guy that day, but came home to find the fridge at 65 degrees. Next day repair guy came down and said compressor was not working and parts were 3 days away. Enter another weekend and we're currently on day 6 with only a small bar fridge. Lost the majority of our food, which hopefully gets replaced through warranty program.

I love this new refrigerator! The Beverage Cooler is handy and large and it is easier to see what we have in there. We did have a problem with the ice in the door as it seemed to shoot the ice out and miss the cup. We noticed that it dispenses "very slighty to the right" and now we can keep it all going into the cup!

Purchased 3weeks ago. We are getting used to a small refrigerator! However selves and drawers are perfect for us. Love the exterior finish so easy to keep clear no smearing, or finger prints noted the humidity function is awesome and I was amazed that it actually was very efficient.

Not bad refrigerator

Like the basic unit. Two problems - the crisper drawers are difficult to open, not easy move, tried to put a little mineral oil on ways. Also, the ice/water dispenser leaks water into the catch tray. Any ideas?

I bought this a month ago. Going from a side by side to upper refrigerator is great. Nothing gets lost and forgotten because it gets pushed to the back. Only problem is in design that if power goes out long enough for ice to start melting, water runs out the ice dispenser onto my wood floor. I just hope I'm always home when that happens. Otherwise this is great clean looking and very functional.

Great looking fridge!

I love the finish on this fridge, it doesn't show up fingerprints as easily as other models! It's nice and bright inside as well. The ice maker does take up a lot of room in the fridge but instead there's more room in the freezer. This ice maker also makes the ice cubes smaller than some other ice makers. On the downside it does run kind of loudly sometimes.

Big Changes Since my Last Refrigerator

I love the refrigerator and would highly recommend it. I do have one concern and that is when the power went out to my house for 5 hours (Very Rare for me) the ice started melting and because of the design of icemaker, the water from the ice drained down the front of the refrigerator onto the wood floor. I also have to make sure the left hand door is closed as for some reason I have left it open several times unintentionally.

Amazing Refrigerator!!!!!!! I feel like this refrigerator will go the Long haul just like my original Maytag that I owned for 32+years. I love the ice maker and water with the filter. The French doors with the Large freezer on the bottom is exactly what I wanted!!!!!

We bought this fridge online through Whirlpool Inside. It was a great experience. The delivery guys were excellent at installing and explaining how to use. We ran into a couple complications and the guy was very calm and did not get frustrated at all. They even had to wheel.the appliance across a busy road as they could not get close to the house because of wires. The only complaint I have is that there is not enough storage in the doors. I had a side by side before. I love the freezer in the bottom. Can see everything that is in there.
