The range was in the new home I purchased. It looks nice and the oven works great. I™€™ve used gas ranges all my life but have had such a difficult time using the range top burners that I™€™ve basically given up using it and cook most things in the microwave. I agree the burner heats quickly but you can™€™t adjust the heat low enough to get a simmer. Also, the oven control panel would be more user friendly if it had a backlight so you could see the control options as easily as you can read the time. The weight of the full top burner grids make cleaning difficult for older users.

This range came with our brand new home 2 years ago. The oven stopped working two days ago and one of the burners only works ocassionally. I keep it clean and take care of it. Something this nice should last longer and two years!

We bought our new home with a Whirlpool appliance package. Overall, the gas range worked fine. The grates on top are a little wobbly but it's a beautiful range. The display started to bubble within 1 week of use. Two years later, I used the "self-clean" function for the first time. 30 minutes into the cleaning cycle, the digital display went nuts then powered off and stopped working. The door is now stuck in a locked position 2 days later. Tried the breaker and unplugging for a while to reset. Still nothing. The cooktop is still working fortunately. When I called for service, I was informed the unit was past the 1 year "warranty" date and because I had not purchased an extended warranty, it would not be a covered service. That's ridiculous. This oven is no longer working when only 2 years old! All due to using a feature built into the oven! Now I have to pay a $150 fee for a repair company to even tell me what's wrong with this thing.

This range was included in the purchase of the townhouse. Overall a good range but it does burn hotter than my previous gas range. We adjusted the gas flame on all 4 burners so we will see if that helps from burning the food.

Disappointed in quality of range

Thus us the stove I was given by my builder. The stove is poorly made. The pots move on the stovetop. This is a safety hazard. The grates are not level nor is the stove. When I open the oven to check my meal I™€™m cooking, the pan starts to slide out towards me. I would not have purchased this range if I was given the choice.

Decent oven, terrible stove top

This stove came with our new house, I would not recommend it to anyone. The grates on the burners is a terrible design, I™€™ve had it a month and they are already bent. When using the oven you must have the temperature 10-15 degrees lower than what any recipe will tell you or your food will be burnt.

We got our NEW range on Nov 4th.The top burners worked but the oven filled the room with gas but would not light.After waiting 45 minutes to talk with a live person I finally got to talk with someone who had me try a few things to get it to light but it would not.He then said he would try to get me a service appointment to no avail but gave me a number to call the next day.When I called the next morning I was told they could do nothing for me that a Whirlpool employee had to call them and give a work order number.I then recalled Whirlpool again and after over 60 minutes once again was able to talk with a rep who tried to get me an appointment but when she came back said there was no one in my area so she would advance my problem and someone would call within 7 working days about getting my appointment.After 8 working days and no call back I again called back Whirlpool and after a 35 minute wait was told that she could see what happened and that she would put in a request for an exchange to be made and I could call back on December 5th and find out if the exchange was approved and how and when I could do it.We were supposed to be celebrating Thanksgiving dinner at our new home but with no stove to cook in we had to go elsewhere for dinner.Now after a month we may not even know by Christmas if we can have a home cooked meal in our new home.So could I recommend a Whirlpool,no way.And I have to admit our new home came wit 3 new whirlpool appliances.Range,Refrigerator and microwave.My complaint is with customer service.I cant tell if the range is going to be good if I cant use it

Burner flame to wide

I have owned this stove for 1 year it came with my new house. The front burners direct the flame so wide that I I can only use my largest pans. To big for my largest cast iron 13.25™€. Do not buy until the fix the burners and offer replacements to direct the flame upward instead of to the side.

Both front burners have big burners in front. These burners are so wide that they cook extremely wide around pot and faster. I am short therefore having to use back burners for my every day cooking is kind of inconvenient. The black shows everything.

Very difficult to clean around the burners anywhere under the grate's. There seems to be an oily scum that will not come off. Best you can do is use multiple cloths to try and buff it off, still doesn™€™t look clean.
