After 18 months it needed repairs. The lid on the bottom compartment now is broken, but the delivery person told us years ago his broke and it was over $300 to replace. Not sure I™€™d buy one again

We bought this refrigerator about 3 months ago. Although we were replacing a refrigerator of the exact same size, this model has less storage capacity than our previous refrigerator. You also have to be mindful of ™€œcold spots™€ in this refrigerator. If you have any items that touch the back or side walls of the refrigerator, it restricts air flow and freezes items in other areas. We had eggs and yogurt cups freezing even though the temperature stated it was in the proper zone. For our family with two teenagers and a couple of Sam™€™s Club runs per week, it has been difficult to keep items from touching the back wall and the center divider. This refrigerator does not have as strong of magnet in the door seal so it is easy to walk away from it without having the door shut tight and completely sealed. Other than these items, we like the look and layout of this refrigerator.

This Whirlpool is exactly the same style and size as my previous Kenmore. The new refrigerator only makes half as much ice, and the drawers are of such poor material that I am expecting them to break at any time. The large full width drawer is also so shallow it barely holds anything.

Circuit board failed in less than two years

Bought this fridge 4/2020 and 20 months later, the circuit board that controls everything failed. The failure was not due to a power surge or anything done to the fridge, just stopped working. It isn't covered under warranty because "it is man-made, so sometimes parts fail." This is ridiculous. The appliance failure was due to a faulty/poorly made part, but I have to pay for it. So now I have to pay $245 to buy a new circuit board and it hasn't even been two years! I am disappointed that a $2300 refrigerator would just fail in less than two years, and Whirlpool doesn't seem to think this is their problem. My $300 vacuum has a better warranty and customer service.

This was actually bought for me, his fiancÃ, and I LOVE IT!! I have a lot of back problems and surgeries and am unable to bend over for long periods of time and putting away the groceries was such a choir with our other fridge. The delivery of out fridge took over a year but we are very happy with it. We especially like the cheese and cold meat tray and the veggie and fruit bins. Since we use a lot of ice, the ice maker is a blessing.

I have had the refrigerator about a month, and I am satisfied, but not thrilled about it. Drawers in refrigerator do not pull smoothly and tend to stick. Doors close kind of hard as they hang up when they are open about an inch. You have to make very sure you push them ALL the way shut because they do not close when you get to a certain point like my other one did. I really miss that from my old refrigerator. Ice maker is much slower than we have had in the past. Also it is much louder when it is cooling than I think it should be.

We love this fridge but, you have to have both doors open to get into the drawer under the crispers. It would be great if there were 2 small drawers there instead. It is a waste of cold when you have to open both doors to get something out of that full width drawer. Or, make the lid in 2 pieces so you can open the half that you need to get an item from.

This fridge is wonderful! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesnt have a water dispenser option. The space is wonderful, the temperature options are easy to adjust/use, the freezer has sections to keep things organized, and the parts are sturdy.

We ordered our Whirlpool Refrigerator last July and the wait was torturous. We bought it from Best Buy, which, quite honestly, dropped the ball on so many levels. Twice we were given delivery dates and unloaded the old fridge, only to be stood up. Best Buy sent employees out three times to measure for the refrigerator and the cooktop we ordered. When the cooktop arrived in January, it was too small for the opening in our granite countertop. We had to order a custom "frame" for it so that the hole would not show. This was ordered from California and cost us another $220. There is a cabinet over the spot for the refrigerator that limited how tall it could be. After those three trips here to measure for it, it was about 3/4 inch too tall to fit in the spot. It sat in the middle of the floor until we could find a carpenter to cut the bottom of the cabinet out and raise it an inch. Enough complaints about Best Buy. The refrigerator is fine. It keeps everything very cool, and the icemaker makes a nifty petite cube. I love the space for flat items like lunchmeats because I can see everything in it. It has a bit less vertical space on the top shelf than I'm used to, but I feel sure that with time, we'll get used to the difference. I like it and I'm glad I chose a Whirlpool. Great product.

My fridge died and I replaced it with this product. Due to covid , I was not able to get the one I wanted without a 4 month wait. I love Whirlpool products, but am not crazy about the french doors. You basically need to open both doors to get anything out of the fridge. The shelves are glass, which is nice, the bins are plastic and somewhat cheaply made. The ice maker works well, the bottom freezer has several compartments, however, the bins are plastic, not the metal ones, I previously had. They do not make appliances like they used to and I expect to have to replace this in the next 5 to 7 years.

It is great for organizing since the shelves are adjustable half shelves and not one big shelf like my previous refrigerator. It was a great purchase and I would recommend this design.

We bought this two months ago replacing a 22 cubic foot side by side. Although we had ice and water in the door of the side by side, we have not missed that feature that much. Without an ice maker in the fridge area, we have much more room in the fridge than in the past. The freezer compartment still has lots of room even though the ice maker is in there. The two crisper compartments are not as stable and the humidity controls can get in the way when you close them. This is an area Whirlpool could look at (reason for a 4 star on design). Love the large pull out tray. The ice maker is a little noisy but so was our last one. Overall, we like the fridge and the amount of room we have.
